It is our pleasure to welcome the youngest member of our Chamber family - Ethan Wesley Moreno!
Diana and Julian Moreno (Web Design Pilot) welcomed their second son Ethan on Tuesday, November 19th, 2:28pm, at Mission Viejo Hospital. Ethan was born a healthy 8lbs, 6oz and 20.5 inches long, with all 10 beautiful fingers and 10 cute toes and a full head of hair. Ethan's older brother Aiden is super happy to have a little brother to play with. We take this moment to again congratulate the Moreno family on "our" new Chamber addition and thank Diana (who serves on the Ambassador Committee and is the Communications Committee assistant) for all of her "labors " of love on behalf of the Chamber and her fellow members!

Please enjoy this brief video taken by Mission Viejo Chamber Director, Ambassador and Communications Committee Chair, John Rodriguez (iFinance Mortgage). We wholeheartedly THANK all of our Chamber volunteers who donated many hours of their time serving as Directors, Committee members, CEO and Executive Assistant and working on special projects in 2019! There is still much more positive work to be accomplished and we are very excited that "The Volunteer Spirit is Alive (and at an all-time high) Moving into 2020"! The Chamber Board Committees have been formed to provide structure in order to help the Chamber accomplish many necessary tasks and functions. All committees are coordinated by a Board Chair and comprised of volunteer members who work diligently on behalf of the general membership.
Our current Chamber Board Committees include: Ambassadors, Communications, Community Affairs, Events, and Membership. More information will be forthcoming regarding the Community Affairs and Membership committees. If you would like more information on how to volunteer for a committee, please send an email to the Chamber Board Committee Chair listed on the webpage or speak directly with them at an upcoming event. And, yes, Chamber Ambassadors have lots of fun as they attend and support various events with their fellow members (enjoy a few pictures below). Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our various Chamber Board Committees and what they are responsible for. Please click here to be directed to our Chamber Board Committees webpage. Congratulations to Elizabeth Elsanadi (Century 21/Kaufman Property Group), winner of the "Special Recognition Award"! We take this moment to acknowledge her hard work and extra efforts on behalf of her fellow Chamber members.
Elizabeth has been a valued Chamber member since July 2018 and has really "dove head-first" into the volunteer spirit by serving on both the Ambassador and Communications Committees. She is already a very busy realtor and yet, still gives of what little extra time she has, to serve her fellow Chamber members. Elizabeth is highly visible at each Chamber event and networking opportunity. She regularly reaches out to her assigned Ambassador members to remind them to benefit from various Chamber activities. As one of the Communications Committee members, perhaps Elizabeth is best known for her "paparazzi" skills and capturing key people moments at events such as our weekly Daybreakers Networking Breakfast, Ribbon Cuttings, Monthly Mixers, Happy Hours, and Chamber Mobs, and more. Then she spends time posting these amazing key moments to our social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) (we also thank Diana Moreno for handling our LinkedIn posts). Over the last few months, nearly 100 posts has been created on behalf of the Chamber! We say thank you again, Elizabeth, for working so hard on behalf of your fellow Chamber members! To contact Elizabeth for real estate questions, including leases, please call 714-420-1031 or via email at elizabeth@kaufmanpg.com. We take this opportunity to sincerely congratulate Chamber member Diana Moreno (Web Design Pilot) for all of her amazing efforts as the "Volunteer of the Quarter"!

A Few Additional Volunteer Facts:
It’s clear, this member is more than deserving of the “Volunteer of the Quarter”! Congratulations again to DIANA MORENO – of Web Design Pilot!! Last evening, 11 Chamber attendees, along with 3 Presenters, 2 Directors, and 2 Communications Committee members, were on hand for our first networking 101 class: "The Secrets to Business Networking Success".
This class was specifically designed to help the attendees improve their 30-second commercials, confidently and enthusiastically attend mixers and events (and work the room properly), and employ other practical tips to enhance their networking skills. We thank David Benson, Adrien Kalfus-Diaz, and Linda Coss for their excellent efforts and expertise as they presented this helpful information. We thank Diana Moreno and Elizabeth Elsanadi for helping us with the videotaping and social media. Also, we acknowledge CEO Doug Zielasko and Directors, John Salamy and John Rodriguez, for their support of this value-added program for our members. Lastly, we want to wholeheartedly thank our dinner sponsor, Chamber member, Flippin Pizza (Danny and Kelly you are awesome!), for providing the pizzas, salad, and delicious cookies! Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks about new educational programs that will be presented for the benefit of our members. Today, Medha Patel, the Communications Coordinator for the Moulton Niguel Water District (MNWD) met over lunch at the High Park Tap House with Chamber Director and Communications Committee Chair, John Rodriguez, of iFinance Mortgage.
Medha expressed appreciation for the Chamber's efforts to help grow our local businesses by means of targeted marketing and networking efforts. John commended the MNWD for their participation in the Chamber as Silver members and their dedicated efforts to continually educate the private sectors and business communities on how to best use our water resources. Thank you to High Park Tap House General Manager, Michael, and his staff, for taking such good care of us at lunch! It was also great to see Jerry Bryant, The Bee Man, upon leaving the restaurant! #thebeeman #JohnandValcantakevacationnow #thepowerofnetworking #mvchamber #missionviejo #missionviejochamber #waterconservation Today, a small group of Ambassadors and Directors paid visits to local businesses discussing the many benefits of joining the Chamber of Commerce.
The Group consisted of: Donna Lang Stoffel (Director/Ambassador, of Heightened Health), John Rodriguez (Director/Ambassador, of iFinance Mortgage), Cody Abril (Ambassador/Communications, of New Generation Dentistry), and Ashley Brunier (Ambassador, of Waste Management). The focus was on business owners with little time to participate in networking events and therefore may hesitate to join the Chamber. We demonstrated (with Cody and Ashley, younger representatives of their respective businesses) that business owners might be able to identify another trusted employee to attend and represent their business interests at Chamber-sponsored events and help to build more solid business relationships that could lead to increased referrals and closed business. Many businesses showed positive interest in becoming Chamber members, some immediately and others in the very near future. The "group" even stopped by to visit fellow Chamber member, Julie Schmidt, of Team Logic IT. So great seeing you, Julie! We thank Donna, John, Cody, and Ashley for taking a couple hours of their busy day to participate in this important campaign. #mvchamber #missionviejochamber #missionviejo #wearethefunchamber #communityoutreach #millennialcampaign Approximately 3 months ago, a call went out to all Chamber Ambassadors to incorporate the use of 60-second or less video interviews when scheduling one-to-one appointments with their assigned fellow members. Each week, the Ambassador and Communications Committee Chairs now receive video interviews that are then shared to all Chamber marketing and media outlets, including our recently created Instagram account. Please enjoy this brief video interview of Javad Faith (Owner of Faith Family Chiropractic) taken by Ambassador Melodie Davis (Creative Cravings). #mvchamber #mvchamberambassadors #wearethefunchamber #addingvalue #bizvideopromotion Members of the Communications Committee (John Rodriguez, Diana Moreno, and Elizabeth Elsanadi) and Chamber President, Bob Stewart, met today to discuss some further initiatives to optimize our Chamber Nation website.
The goal of these website optimizations is to provide greater value to each new and existing Chamber member. Soon, enhanced training and tutorials will be provided to the complete Chamber membership. Board Members, Chamber Ambassadors, and Communications Committee Members will also be trained to provide greater support to the general membership as we progress. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we make further adjustments and refinements for the overall benefit of the Chamber membership. #mvchamber #missionviejochamber #missionviejo #communicationscommittee #chambernationoptimization #mvchamberrocks |
