In real estate they say the three most important things are “location, location, location.” In marketing you could say its “benefits, benefits, benefits.” Why? Because all your potential customer really wants to know is “what’s in it for me?” You need to give a reason to buy that will make someone want to do business with you and not the competition. How will your product or service solve their problems, meet their needs or improve their life? Nothing else really matters.

Nearly each month, the Mission Viejo Chamber schedules a Mixer at a member's business location. Crowds of Chamber members, their guests, and the local community came out last night to enjoy the festivities at Custom Comfort Mattress.
In an instance, the beautiful showroom floor of Custom Comfort Mattress was transformed into a fun-filled experience that brought the business community together with laughter, food, wine samples, opportunity drawings, and networking galore! It was easy for all to observe that the Chamber and its members are vibrant, alive, and passionate about bringing the business community closer together! Please enjoy the photos below taken by Ildiko of Takata Photo & Design. On Tuesday evening, November 19th, eleven (11) attendees were present as Chamber member Kurt Varricchio, Attorney at Law, provided helpful legal education on the topic: "Business Law Basics - Developing a Winning Game Plan".
Various areas of business law were covered with attendee participation. Many questions were asked of Kurt and he answered them using his many years of legal experience. We thank our food sponsor, Antonucci's, for providing delicious pizza and salad for all the attendees! Stay tuned for more educational classes after the first of the year. What a celebration! On Tuesday, November 19th, Rescom Financial Services celebrated their move to Mission Viejo via a Ribbon Cutting. Chamber members attended, including Directors and Ambassadors, along with City, State, and Federal governmental offices and many guests.
We are happy to welcome Rescom Financial Services to our great City and truly value their business as a Chamber member! Please enjoy several photos taken by Chamber member, Takata Photo & Design, as well as photos by Michelle Fairless. We all have the best intentions when we create our marketing plans. But creating a plan is just the first step. It’s not enough to establish a list of goals and plans. You must also implement the plans! The best way to ensure that this happens is to schedule it. Literally. Putting things on your calendar makes them concrete – a commitment. But don’t just schedule the final due date; you also need to schedule time to do the actual work.

Mission Viejo Chamber member, Moulton Niguel Water District, is pleased to announce it has maintained the highest AAA-credit rating from Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings, two of the world’s top rating agencies.
In their reports, these independent rating agencies praise Moulton Niguel for its affordable rates, healthy finances and financial transparency. Obtaining the highest possible credit rating allows the District to keep its rates low and invest in the infrastructure that delivers reliable drinking water to its customers. Please find more information in the press release below: INDEPENDENT RATING AGENCIES PRAISE MOULTON NIGUEL WATER DISTRICT FOR AFFORDABLE RATES, HEALTHY FINANCES & FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY Fitch, S&P Global Affirm Highest AAA-Rating for MNWD Moulton Niguel Water District maintains affordable rates and healthy finances, according to independent reviews by two of the world’s top rating agencies. Credit ratings agencies, Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings, have each affirmed Moulton Niguel’s AAA-credit rating, the highest possible credit rating, as part of an updated review of the District’s finances. “Moulton Niguel is committed to providing our ratepayers with clean water and exceptional service at affordable rates,” said Moulton Niguel President Brian Probolsky. “We’re honored to once again receive the highest rating from the world’s top financial analysts.” In its independent financial analysis released on October 21, Fitch Ratings concluded that Moulton Niguel continues to meet its AAA-rating standards by offering customers “affordable rates” while maintaining a “stable, healthy financial profile.” The District’s “healthy finances,” analysts at Fitch added, are “expected to continue.” “Moulton Niguel’s healthy finances are the result of meticulous long-term planning and substantial investments in our water infrastructure system,” said Moulton Niguel Vice President Duane Cave. S&P Global Ratings also affirmed its AAA-rating based on Moulton Niguel’s “competitive customer rates” and “strong financial management practices and policies.” Moulton Niguel maintains the lowest average bill in South Orange County. “We’re proud to obtain the highest possible credit rating which allows us to keep our rates low and invest in the infrastructure that delivers reliable drinking water to our customers’ homes and businesses,” said Moulton Niguel Board Member Richard Fiore who chairs the District’s Administrative Committee. “Based on our financial management assessment, we score the district as a '1' on a six-point scale on which '1' is the strongest,” S&P Global Ratings stated in its October 10 report. “In our view, financial practices and policies exist and are transparent.” Moulton Niguel General Manager Joone Lopez says that, in addition to the District’s balanced budgets and adherence to the highest accounting standards, fiscal accountability requires ongoing public oversight. “As a public utility, we believe that public trust is earned through openness and transparency,” Lopez said. Moulton Niguel has earned numerous accolades for its prudent financial planning. For ten consecutive years, Moulton Niguel has been honored by the Government Finance Officers Association for excellence in financial reporting. In March, the Association also awarded Moulton Niguel with its 2019 Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. When creating marketing materials for your company, never assume that your potential customers will know why they should act, what they should do, or when they should do it! Always include a clear and simple "call to action" that ties in with your overall goals for the piece. For example, if your goal is to sell, don’t ask readers to call for more information – ask them to place an order today, and give them some good reasons why they should do so.
