Oso Fit Community Health Fair and 5K Fun Run
Lace up your tennis shoes and get ready to take a trek along the Oso Creek Trail for a great cause of your choice.
Registration is now available for the 5K Fun Run/Walk and Children’s Half & Quarter-Mile Races from 7:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3. Hosted by the City and Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce, the event is an extension of the annual Community Health Fair and in honor of the City’s 30th anniversary celebration this year.
With the 5K Fun Run/Walk and Children’s races, you can enjoy the scenic Oso Creek Trail while supporting your favorite Mission Viejo nonprofit organization. That’s right: 100 percent of your pre-registration fee will go to a nonprofit of your choice.
“With our yearlong celebration of the City of Mission Viejo’s 30th anniversary, we want to celebrate and support our local organizations,” said Mark Nix, Director of Recreation & Community Services. “This is great way to do that while also offering the community a bit of exercise and tons of fun.”
Early registration ends at 4 p.m. on February 24. Register before then and you’ll receive an event T-shirt along with discounted fees. After that, the cost to participate increases.
There are also opportunities to volunteer and/or sponsor the event.
